AADP specializes in outreaching to Minority and Multi-Racial Communities and have culturally sensitive staff to conduct drives in language. AADP is a very proactive organization, hosting 368 registration drives a year in Northern California. We also help patients conduct donor drives for their families and friends. We welcome the help from families and friends at drives by volunteering at any drive we host. Frankly, we couldn’t do what we do without your help!
AADP helps develop campaigns and ask the community for help for patients by:
* Sending out press releases
* Organizing press conferences, and
* Getting a patient’s story out to the public
If you are having trouble navigating the hospital system, need help talking to your doctor or transplant team, or have any other issues, AADP can help serve as your advocate.
Be The Match Office of Patient Advocacy is also a wonderful resource. They are able to provide you with a case manager to help manage financial issues, insurance issues, travel issues, and other problems or concerns associated with your search or transplant.
