-Walk to help give hope to people with Leukemia, Lymphoma and other blood diseases
-Get a t-shirt and a barbecue lunch
-Have fun with your friends and family

-Play Games, like the coin toss, at the Park (with a chance to win even more prizes)
-Play Sports after the walk (volleyball, soccerball and frisbees)
-Learn about how you can help
-Meet people who have been affected by life threatening blood diseases and cancers

All proceeds directly benefit AADP's mission to help save lives and all donations are tax-deductible.

 

Facts & Figures

•At any given time, there is an average of 3,000 patients searching the NMDP Registry.
•Of the 15,270 unrelated transplants facilitated by the NMDP, 72 percent were for some
  form of leukemia.
•Of this number of unrelated transplants, 2228 have been for minority patients.
•As of November 2005, the total number of volunteer potential donors was 5,967,351.
•As of November 2005, Asian/Pacific Islanders made up 6.6% (395,705) of the
  National Registry.
•Asian American Donor Program and its volunteers have recruited approximately 
 80,000 donors since 1989.
•Only 2.3 percent of people registered in the NMDP Registry is of a Multiple Race heritage.
