Sofia

Two-year-old Sofia was diagnosed with Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia (JMML) in July 2013. Two months later her condition worsened when her JMML transformed itself into Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). She underwent a haploidentical transplant in January. Unfortunately, it was not successful and she has relapsed. Sofia now needs a marrow match from an unrelated donor. Ryan

Ryan Manansala, 29 year old Filipino from San Jose, CA. He was diagnosed with AML and received a cord blood transplant in summer 2012.  Unfortunately Ryan has relapsed and is in urgently need of a marrow donor.  Ryan’s greatest chance of finding a marrow donor is from someone who is also all or part Filipino (Ryan is 1/8 Chinese, and 1/8 Spanish).
