In January 2010, Ekta was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). CLL is a cancer of the blood and marrow that typically develops slowly. Since her diagnosis, Ekata has taken homeopathic approaches under the guidance of her physician,and changes in her diet and lifestyle. Despite these efforts over the years, Ekata’s recent blood test have shown CLL mutating into a more serious condition projecting a high likelihood her cancer can transform to ALL. She will need a bone marrow/stem cell transplant. She currently does not have a match in the registry and none of her family members are a match.
