Myla

patients-mylaMyla is a sweet and thoughtful 10 year-old girl. She is very involved in school activities, church choir, and community service. She is very creative and crafty. Myla was diagnosed with myeloid sarcoma, a form of acute myeloid leukemia. It was very difficult for Myla to find a bone marrow donor because she is Filipino, so, she received a haploidentical stem cell transplant from her father on October 2014. Myla is still experiencing complications from the transplant and is currently in the hospital working on many art projects.
