Vinay was diagnosed with Leukemia in November 2006. Vinay was known amongst his family and friends as being a kind, honest and loving human being. In the dedicated search to find a match, his team helped to complete 384 drives and registered over 20,000 South Asians! WVinay finally got a transplant had a tranplant, but his leukemia had relapsed twice. He will never be forgotten and as of June of 2008 at least 25 people have been called as potential matches for others in need – all of them registered at drives in Vinay’s name.
