Julie desperately needs a matching donor. Can you help save her life?
Julie was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) with an FLT3 mutation in January and needs a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible. Julie is a 35 year-old Korean-American wife and mother of a 3 year-old girl and a 6 year-old boy, a veteran of the US Navy, and a children’s dentist who provides free care to children from disadvantaged homes.
Life expectancy without treatment is only a couple months from the last round of chemotherapy without a bone marrow transplant. In Julie’s case, she will begin her last round of chemotherapy soon.
Unfortunately, matches usually come from someone’s own ethnic group. We desperately need help from anyone with any Korean in their ancestry.
