13th Annual AADP Legacy Golf Tournament

October 18, 2019

The golf tournament is over, and if you believe what you hear, everyone had a great time. I want to thank all of our sponsors, Palmer Electric, Inc., Copart, Kantors Office Furniture, First Republic Bank, Pucci Foods, Pension Benefit Consultants, Sharp, Royse Law, Realty 1 School, CIT Corporate Tax Incentives, ESO Fund, and PhysioCue. A big thank you goes out to all of the men and women who took the day off to network, play some golf, and help save lives. Rolando Morales entertained us during the reception and dinner.

Jonathan Leong, Founder of AADP, talked about how important it is to help diversify the Be The Match Registry. Although AADP’s focus is on the Asian American community, we educate and register individuals in all communities. Blood cancers can be successfully treated with a stem cell transplant. However, the most challenging part of this treatment is to find a suitable stem cell matching donor in time.

Ethnicity is key to finding the perfect donor match

The odds of finding a compatible donor for people of color are daunting, and we need to act now to see a change.

We encourage you to be part of the solution. Let us know if you have a venue in mind to host a registration event, colleges, corporations, places of worship, community events. We will be there.

To our incredible community partners who donated to our silent auction, we thank you for your continued support.

AMC Theatres, Barbottle Brewing Company, Dashe Cellars, Defonce, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Golden State Warriors, Happy Hollow Park and Zoo, Harvey’s Lake Tahoe, In-N-Out Burger, Jonathan Leong, Lee’s Florist & Nursery, Wilton Lee, Oakland Athletics, Oakland Zoo, Peppermill Reno, Pier 39, Pucci Foods, Chris Lam, San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, Sam Woo Restaurant, SFMOMA, Sugarbowl Bakery, Ted Kao, Total Wine & More, TPC Stonebrae Country Club and Trader Joe’s.

We hope to see you next year!
