Hi! My name is Allayah and I am 9 years old. I was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia in March of 2014. My immune system has attacked my bone marrow and I no longer can produce enough blood cells on my own. I have gone through two rounds of ATG treatment to see if it will reverse my immune system, but so far no luck. My final option is a bone marrow transplant and at this time we have only found an 83% match in the whole world which means it’s a higher risk of rejection. Rejection can cause damages to my internal organs and negative, long-term effects to the external parts of my body. Please help me find a better match by signing up and testing to be on the bone marrow registry. If you are unable to commit to being a donor, please help support our family with a donation during this rough time.
I currently attend Matsuyama Elementary School in Sacramento, CA and am in the 4th grade. I am a very bright and lovable young girl. I enjoy reading chapter books and watching movies with my family. My hobbies are decorating and designing things with arts and crafts. I have a dog named Boo that I love to play with. My favorite colors are blue and purple and my favorite type of candy is chocolate! I love to eat fish or pasta, but not usually together. I enjoy dancing on my free time and would like to be in a jazz and hip hop dance class. I melt everyone’s heart that I meet, and my smile can brighten up any room.
