Darryl, a 29 year veteran fire fighter, is used to difficult situations, but there was no way he could have prepared for this.
Every three minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer. On March 13, 2017, Darryl was one of them. He was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).  The cure for Darryl’s AML is a blood stem cell/marrow transplant. Like 70% of patients, he doesn’t have a match in his family.
