My name is Emily. I have 3 kids. Five years ago, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and I have already had two transplants. The first transplant was a self transplant, but I relapsed after 9 months. The second time around, I went through chemotherapy but couldn’t find a donor to match me. So I went ahead and had a cord-blood transplant. It has been three years since my cord-blood transplant and my body is weakened again. This time around I really need to find a matching donor in order to survive. My youngest son is only six. I cannot imagine my children without their mother. Every time I am in the hospital, they always call and ask when I will be coming home. They need me, and they have been through so much already. I want to live, to live for my children. A matching donor is my last chance for survival. Please help me…Update: Emily passed away early August 2010 in peace, but too sudden for her family. She fought hard with perseverance against her cancer. Emily was a loving wife and mother of 3. Thoughts and prayers are with Emily and her family.
