At age 3, Evan was diagnosed with a rare, genetic immune disorder called chronic granulomatous disease (CGD).To stay healthy, he went to the hospital every month to receive IV medication and takes multiple antibiotics daily.  Despite this, Evan was expected to fall ill to serious infections every few years for the rest of his life, unless he finds a donor and is cured by a bone marrow transplant.

Evan found a life-saving marrow donor and received his transplant in November 2019.  “He is now home, just in time for Christmas, and recovering.  Thank you to everyone who registered in our little boy’s name.  You are all Angels,” said Evan’s parents.
