Ja Lih Lee

in-loving-memory-ja-lih-leeJa Lih Lee was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in December 2008. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Library Science at Taiwan University and her Master’s degree at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She worked for the libraries of San Jose and Oakland. In August 2007, she became the Community Librarian for Cupertino. AADP worked closely Ja Lih and with Cupertino Library to recruit and raise awareness in the importance of becoming a potential marrow/stem cell donor. Ja Lih found a match and received a marrow/stem cell transplant in July 2009. Unfortunately,she passed away in Deceber 2009 due to complications.
