Paul

paul

Paul was first diagnosed in February 2016 with non-hodgkin’s lymphoma after developing a lump on his chest. After an initial 6 rounds of chemotherapy, the lump seemed to have disappeared, but it came back shortly after his sixth treatment.

Because Paul is half-Japanese and Mexican, it took a while to find a compatible donor.  Paul had a bone marrow transplant in July 2017, however, he passed away due to complications on November 12, 2017.

A message from his brother.  “Paul has gone to be with God and our ancestors today.  He fought with everything he had until his very last moment.  There was so much help and hope during this journey and our family is so very thankful for this.  We are devastated.  PJ was my hero, role model, and best friend.  Life will never again be complete.”
