Ryan

patients-ryan-manansalaRyan Manansala, 30 year old Filipino from San Jose, CA. Ryan was diagnosed with AML and received a cord blood transplant in summer 2012. Unfortunately, Ryan relapsed and was in urgent need of a marrow donor. Unfortunately, no one from his immediate family matched. With the help and devoted efforts from his family, friends, and community “Operation: Save Ryan” was established and the search for his life saving donor began.Ryan was all about putting others before himself, he focused his time and energy to giving back and helping the community. He worked several years as an Intervention Specialist and assisting with children with disabilities. He also devoted his love and time to EMQ Family First as a Big Brother for 6 years. Ryan passed away on November 26, 2014.  Ryan will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
