Hello, World!
I am Yahya. I am a happy, curious, bouncy and jolly baby boy. I just turned one on June 23rd. Unfortunately, a month before my 1st birthday, I was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis or HLH. Although I have a chance of matching a donor from anywhere around the world (all ethnicities), the chances are higher of finding a match from someone who is from my region and neighboring regions: Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, the Caucus, Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Armenia, Palestine, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Oman, Yemen, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE and even individuals from Eastern European and European countries.
All I needed was to find my match. The more people who join the donor registry from my ethnic groups the better chance I have to survive. Well, a perfect donor stepped forward and donate his blood stem cell to me in January 2016. Thank you everyone for registering in my name.
Yahya
